WARRANTY DK Turbines warranty for new or overhauled parts is six
(6) months and serviceable parts are three (3) months from the date of
shipment. If a part is confirmed to be
defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, DK Turbines
will replace the defective part at its own expense or refund the invoiced
price. Written notice of claimed defect
must be provided with the part being returned.
If a warranty replacement part is supplied to customer before claimed
defective part is evaluated, DK Turbines will invoice the replacement unit at
the current price until evaluation can be made on the warranty unit. If during the warranty period, any part is
returned for claimed warranty and the part is found to be functional with no
defects, the customer will be invoiced the fees incurred to return the unit to
the original condition when sold. If a
warranty exchange unit is provided to the customer, the warranty does not
extend beyond the original warranty period.
DK Turbines reserves the right to deny warranty on any part subjected to
neglect, damage, or improper handling or use.
Shipping costs for warranty returns is customer’s responsibility. DK Turbines shall not be liable for any loss
due to down time, lost profits, or any other loss arising out of or in
connection with the sale or delivery by DK Turbines to customer. RETURNS
POLICY All returned parts must be received within thirty (30)
days of the invoiced date. DK Turbines
reserves the option to charge a 20% restocking fee on all parts returned after
thirty (30) days. All parts must be
returned will original documentation and in original packaging or customer will
be invoiced for recertification fees. Exchange
prices are quoted on the basis that the returned core will be of the same part
number as invoiced. The returned core
must be a normal core in repairable condition and have a legible part number
and serial number on it. If abnormal
damage is found, either during receipt of part or during overhaul, charges will
be billed as they become available. If a
core is found to be Beyond Economical Repair (BER), the customer will be billed
for the core charge listed on the original invoice. Evaluation of your core may take up to 90
days from receipt, if further time is needed, we will notify you at that
time. To avoid late fees and/or outright
billing of replacement costs, all cores must be received within 30 days. 1.
Please return cores within 10 days, at customers
expense, unless previously arranged, so we can get them to the Overhaul Vendors
and back on the shelf for the next customer. 2. If
a core is not received within 30 days an invoice will be generated for the
difference between the exchange and the outright prices. This is the “core charge”. 3.
If your core is not the exact part number as the
item you are ordering please verify with the sales agent if
it is an acceptable core and what, if any, supplemental charges would be
assessed for supplying that part number core.
Please verify this prior to ordering the part. 4.
Cores may take up to 90 days for evaluation. If longer time is needed, you will be
contacted by us. If the repair cost of a component exceeds 90%
of the exchange price, we consider the repair cost excessive. In this case, the customer would be billed
the actual cost of repair plus 15%. Any
exchange fees already billed would be credited towards this new invoice. An example would be a Starter with an
exchange price of $1000 and an outright price of $3000. If the overhaul estimate was $2000 the
customer would be invoiced the $2000 plus 15% ($300) for a total of $2300. Since the $2300 is less than the outright
price of $3000 the part is not considered scrap or B.E.R. and they would be
credited for the $1000 exchange fee already paid and receive a supplemental
bill for $1300 ($2300-$1000 = $1300) In all cases, the customer will be provided
with a copy of the vendors repair estimate for his component. A part is considered scrap or beyond economical repair (B.E.R.) if the
price of repair exceeds 85% of the Outright price for that component. If we cannot find another component to
replace a B.E.R. part for our rotable pool, with the customers
approval, we may elect to repair a component whose repair cost is more than the
outright purchase price but the customer will only pay the previously quoted
outright price. The normal practice is the customer would be
charged for the outright price of the part if that part is scrap or B.E.R. and
their B.E.R. part would be returned to them.
Any exchange fees the customer has already paid or been billed would be
subtracted from the outright price. If a customer
would like to provide a second core to replace the first scrap core, they would
be responsible for the evaluation fee on the first core. A copy of the vendor
invoice/teardown report will be provided. If a customer feels that our outright price
is excessive, they may elect to replace a scrap part with an identical
overhauled unit under the following terms: 1. In addition to supplying the
overhauled component, they will be charged 10% of the exchange price for the
use of our part. This amount can be
deducted from any refunds due them for money already received. 2. They must also pay any
teardown/evaluation fees the vendor charges us.
A copy of the vendor invoice will be provided. 3. They must supply the replacement
component within 15 days of being notified that their core is scrap/B.E.R. 4. The Overhaul Vendor and date of
overhaul must be acceptable to DK Turbines.
The customer should get approval prior to purchasing a replacement
component to avoid any disappointment or misunderstanding. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
